Dr. Stockton named a Superintendent of Distinction!

Bellwood School District 88 is proud to share that Superintendent Dr. Victoria H. Stockton has been named the 2026 Superintendent of Distinction for the Cook West Region (West 40) by the Illinois Association of School Administrators.

Dr. Stockton was honored in Springfield on April 23 at an awards luncheon, where 21 regional Superintendents of Distinction were recognized from across Illinois. This honor places her among a select group of leaders recognized by their peers for outstanding leadership, service, and commitment to students and communities.

West 40 represents 38 school districts and three special education cooperatives across West Cook County. Superintendents of Distinction are selected by fellow superintendents in recognition of their impact on educational leadership and their dedication to advancing opportunities for students.

In a statement to the Illinois Association of School Administrators following notification of the award, Dr. Stockton shared:

“This acknowledgment reflects the collective dedication of the educators, leaders, and staff of Bellwood School District 88. Together, we lead with grace, create spaces where everyone belongs, and provide the support needed for growth as we prepare the next generation of leaders.”

This recognition highlights the ongoing work across Bellwood School District 88 to strengthen student learning, expand opportunities, and foster environments where every student can succeed.

We are proud of Dr. Stockton and the leadership that continues to move our district forward in service of students, families, and the broader community.
