Greetings Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to an exciting 2024-2025 year of learning at Bellwood School District 88 Early Childhood Center!

I am pleased to welcome each of you to our Bellwood Early Childhood Center (ECC) for the 2024-2025 School Year. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first year, your child/children are about to embark on a year filled with academic growth, social emotional learning, excitement, and fun.

Preschool years are crucial as they lay the foundation for a child’s future success. Research consistently shows that students who attend preschool programs are better prepared for elementary school and beyond. At Bellwood ECC, we are committed to ensuring that all students are prepared for success!

IMPORTANT DATES:

  •   First Day of Preschool: Monday, August 26, 2024
  •   Preschool Screening for New Students: August 20, 21, and 22, 2024, 8:30 -10:30 AM
  •   Parents/Guardians’ In-Person Orientation: Lincoln Primary- August 23, 2024, 11:00 AM -12:00 PM and Grant Primary- August 23, 2024, 8:30 – 9:30 AM. During these orientation events, you will receive resources and information providing a comprehensive overview of our pre-kindergarten program structure.

On behalf of the Director of the Early Learning Programs and the entire Bellwood Early Childhood Center Teachers and Staff, we eagerly anticipate working with all of you to support our children as they develop foundational skills to become lifelong learners and reach their fullest potentials.

WE ARE A FREE, “GOLD CIRCLE OF QUALITY RATED ‘PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM! WE ARE ALSO A FREE “BLUE RIBBON BIRTH TO THREE”  PROGRAM!

If you have not yet enrolled your child/children, please call our office at (708) 410-3701, or visit us at 3519 Wilcox in Bellwood, IL, to pick up an application and complete registration online. Visit the Bellwood SD88 Preschool website for more information about the Free Preschool for All Program. Please spread the word to other parents; we have more openings available.

Bellwood School District 88's Early Childhood Center at Lincoln Primary School offers a phenomenal and Gold Circle of Quality-Rated free Preschool for All Program that is available to preschoolers throughout the Proviso Township Community.
 
We currently have openings in our preschool classrooms and offer both AM and PM Sessions at both the Lincoln Primary and Grant Primary location. Each classroom is supported by a classroom paraprofessional, and the program is offered free of charge to parents.
 
Our program is predicated on the Jean Piaget premise that preschool aged students learn best through play. Therefore, intentional play is entrenched throughout our daily activities.To enroll, parents should: 
  1. Stop by Lincoln Primary to pick up and complete a Preschool Enrollment Packet. At this time, new students will also receive a Screening Appointment. 
  2. Finally, parents should visit the Registration Page  to begin the registration process. Please engage our helpful registration tutorial (at right), which is offered in both English and Spanish to assist in this capacity.
